Grace is off to South Africa in a couple of days. She has a blog and we will be posting the link so keeping up with her travels is possible. The entire Seva Challenge journey was an incredible experince. Again.
South Africa was totally different from Uganda – end goal was the same in raising $20,000 but the journey was unique. One Love Toronto was a highlight of my life. I was moved beyond words.
I recently sat down with somone who was thinking of taking the Seve Challenge this year for Haiti. I am very content in our decision not to take on the Haiti challenge but I am so happy to see other people stepping in. The growth from the last 2 years is immesurable. Its hard to tell people at the beginning that won’t recognize yourself by the end without it sounding scary and melodramatic.
The trip to Uganda changed my life and the way I saw the world and myself. I am so looking forward to hearing all about Grace’s journey.
We are so excited to be organizing One Love Toronto an event that is bringing the yoga community together.
We have an incredible team of teachers who are all leaders in the community.
Davian den Otter, Grace Dubery, Charlotte Singmin, Michael DeCorte, Amber Joliat, Caren Cooper, Lauren Anastasi, Linda Malone, Geoffrey Wiebe, Pauline Caballero, Sandy Braz and Dee Dussault
Each will be teaching 9 sun salutations which adds up to 108. The event is a fundraiser for Off The Mat into The World’s Seva Challenge South Africa. Participants are challenged to raise $108 in honour of the 108 sun salutations.
The day begins at 9am with sign in at the Guvernment complex at the Koolhaus and the practice starts at 10am and winds up at noon.
